grandmother may have used. Her name was Mary
Elizabeth Doyle Smith. I believe the Globe Democrat
was a St. Louis, Missouri newspaper. My grandparents
lived in Joplin for a time around 1910. I tried to use the
spelling and grammar found in the recipe.
